If you’ve purchased a plan as a gift for someone, we recommend waiting until after you’ve gifted it to transfer the plan. As soon as you transfer it, an automated email will be sent to the receiver (which could ruin your surprise!) See below for how to transfer a plan.
- Setup or Log into your account.
- Click My Plans at the top of the SquareTrade homepage.
- Click the protection plan you’d like to transfer.
- In the Quick Links menu, click Cancel/Transfer Plan.
- Enter the receiver’s name, address, phone number, and email address.
A confirmation email will be sent to you and the receiver as soon as the plan is transferred.
If you’re trying to purchase a plan for a product you received as a gift, you can do so within 30 days of the purchase date. To purchase a plan, bring the original product receipt to any Guest Service desk or purchase plans online at Target.com.
