To add a promo code to your order:
  1. Add items to your cart and proceed to checkout.
  2. In your cart, underneath Order summary, enter the Promo code
  3. Select Apply.
  • The discount will show as being applied in the Order summary box.
  1. To enter additional codes, enter each one and select Apply.

Some offers require that only one promo code be applied. When this occurs, the best discount will be applied to your order. If you're using an offer for a free item with the purchase of another, be sure to add both items to your cart. Promotion codes and discounts do not apply to sales tax, gift wrap or gift cards, and may not apply to some shipping fees. Refer to the original promotional materials for more details.

The discount for a “Buy One Get One” (BOGO) promotion is based on the lowest priced item. The discount is then applied to each item proportionately, reducing the value of each item. For example, If your first qualifying item is $60 and your second qualifying item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $24 and the $40 item will be discounted by $16, which gives a total discount of $40. If either item is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by its prorated discount.

BOGO promotions are considered line-level discounts and will be applied before order-level discounts. BOGO promotions can be stacked with order-level promotions, such as a dollar or percent discount, but not with other types of promotions. BOGO promotions can be used multiple times in the same order.

Free Promotional Target GiftCards are sent when the qualifying purchase item ships or is picked up. Target orders including a free promotional Target GiftCard for qualifying items are now automatically saved to your Target.com account. While the promotional gift card should automatically load to your Target.com account, we'll also send you the GiftCard number and access code by email as a backup.

Promotional items won’t ship until after the qualifying purchase ships. Promotional items for qualifying Order Pickup or Drive Up purchases will ship 5-7 days after the qualifying purchase is picked up.

If the qualifying purchase item was canceled for any reason, the promotional item will also be canceled. Keep in mind, if we’re unable to fulfill the order due to the popularity of the promotion it’s possible that the item may be canceled.

When a free gift or free Target Giftcard is offered with a qualifying item, you’ll be charged the amount of the qualifying item reduced by a Target discount equal to the amount of the gift or gift card, and you’ll be charged a separate amount for the value of the gift or gift card. The total of the two charges will equal the amount of the qualifying item.

For example, if you make a purchase under a promotion for “buy a $30 item and receive a free $10 Target GiftCard,” you’ll be charged $20 for the qualifying item and $10 for the gift card. These two charges total the price of the promotion, which is $30.

When purchasing online, you may have two authorizations and charges on your payment method as our system doesn't process the gift or gift card sale until the qualifying item is picked up or shipped. The combination of the two transactions will total the original order amount.

If you placed an order using our Order Pickup or Drive Up service, promotional items and gift cards will be shipped 5-7 days after the pickup transaction is completed. If you placed an order on Target.com or the Target app, promotional items and gift cards won’t ship until after the qualifying purchase ships. If your qualifying purchase included a free Target GiftCard and you selected an email or mobile version, you’ll receive the gift card shortly after the pickup transaction is completed or once the item has shipped.

May not be applied to previous purchases.

When purchasing items as part of a Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion, the promotional discount is based on the lowest priced item, then applied to each item proportionately. If you choose to return any of the items, your refund will be reduced to the discounted amount for each item.

Here are some examples:
  • Buy One, Get One Free: If your first qualifying item is $60 and your second qualifying item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $24 and the $40 item will be discounted by $16, which gives a total discount of $40. If either item is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by its prorated discount.
  • Buy One, Get One 50% Off: If your first qualifying item is $60 and your second qualifying item is $40, the $60 item will be discounted by $12 and the $40 item will be discounted by $8, which gives a total discount of $20. If either item is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by its prorated discount.

For most items, you aren't required to return the free gift or gift card with the qualifying item. However, if you return the qualifying item, the amount of the refund will be reduced by the prorated value of the free gift or gift card. The free gift can be returned alone, but you'll only receive the prorated value of the free gift.

For example, if you make a purchase under a promotion for “buy a $30 item and receive a free $10 Target GiftCard,” you’d receive a refund of $20 when only returning the qualifying item. Your store receipt shows return values of each item if returned individually and states, "All items must be returned for full refund."

  • All Target Mobile GiftCards and eGiftCards are non-returnable and non-refundable. Physical Target GiftCards are returnable in store.
  • Promotional gift cards must be returned with qualifying Target Mobile purchases to be eligible for a refund.
