Drive Up

Target Help
Our Drive Up service allows you to order items from the Target app, and we’ll bring them out to your car when you arrive at your local Target store. Drive Up is currently available in the Minneapolis - St. Paul, MN metro area, and only for iPhone. To get started, download the Target app from the Apple App Store, add items to your cart and select Drive Up as your delivery method. Be sure to save your mobile phone number to your Target.com account.
 
To pick up your Drive Up order:
  1. Wait to receive notification that your order is ready for pickup. 
  • We’ll give you a notification in the app and send you an email.
  1. Open the Target app and select I’m on my way from the shop tab.
  2. Park in the designated parking spots in the front of the store labeled "Drive Up."
  3. A Target team member will bring your order out to your car and scan a barcode on your Target app to confirm your order.
  4. You’ll sign and complete your order.
  • Your payment method isn’t charged until you receive your order.

When your order is ready for pickup, you’ll receive a pickup notification via email. You’ll also receive a push message notification if you enabled push notifications in the Target app. You can enable this in Settings > Target > Notifications, or in the app by going to your Account > Enable Notifications. Your order will be held at the store for two days. If your order isn’t picked up after two days, we’ll cancel the order and you won’t be charged. You can extend your pickup window by one day by signing into your Target.com account or visiting your order details page. You must do this before the end of your initial pickup window.

You will need to bring your mobile phone. You will be asked to present the barcode associated with your order. The barcode can be found in the app on the shop tab under Drive Up or in the account tab (shows as your name) under orders. You will be asked to sign for your order. Your online payment will be processed when you pick up your order.

We have designated parking spots at the store front to Drive Up for your order. The designated Drive Up parking spots are marked with a tall, red Drive Up post.

You can apply any eligible discount or promotion when you check out. Cartwheel® offers cannot be redeemed on orders placed using Drive Up.

Items can be returned at Guest Services using the receipt that is emailed to you after the order is picked up. To complete a return using the emailed receipt, print or access the receipt from a mobile device and present it at Guest Services. Please note, once the email receipt is sent, it can take up to one hour before Drive Up returns can be processed at the store where pickup occurred, and up to 24 hours if returning items to a different Target store.

The store can also look up the receipt for your purchase using the debit or credit card you used as payment. Receipt lookup is available 24 hours after the pickup has been completed.
