Edit or cancel your order

Once an order is submitted, we're not able to make any changes, but you may be able to cancel your order. 
  1. Visit the find your order page.
  2. Enter your order information or sign in to locate your order.
  3. Locate the item(s) you wish to cancel and select cancel item next to the item(s).
  4. Select yes to confirm cancellation.

If your cancellation request was successful, you'll receive a confirmation email. You won’t be charged for a canceled order, but your card may reflect a temporary authorization hold. Funds will become available once your bank releases the hold.

If the cancellation window has passed, you can still refuse the order upon delivery. When we receive your refused order, we’ll process the return and send an email confirmation regarding your refund. You can also return your order to any Target store or by mail using a prepaid Target.com return label.

Target's acknowledgement of an order means that your order request has been received, and does not guarantee your order has been accepted or shipped, or that the price or availability of an item has been confirmed. 

There are a few reasons why we may need to cancel an order, such as:
  • Item became unavailable
  • Incorrect address
  • Invalid payment method

For orders cancelled because of address or payment reasons, you can place a new order with updated address or payment information.

Once an order is submitted, the order can’t be modified within your Target.com account, including changing the shipping address or delivery method. It may be possible to request an address modification or a delivery intercept with some shipping carriers. To determine if Target or the shipping carrier can stop a delivery or change the destination address, contact Target.com Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869 and have your order number ready.

Pickup orders can be canceled online, by calling Target.com Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869, by requesting cancellation at Guest Services in your pickup store, or by not picking up the order within the 2-day pickup window. Partial orders cannot be canceled.
