Target Help
The “estimated delivery date” appears in checkout and your order acknowledgement email. It is determined by a number of factors, including: 

1. Product Availability
If the item is listed as "in stock," it will usually be ready to ship within 1–2 business days. During holidays, special or exclusive promotions or due to other factors, some "in stock" items may have a longer lead time to prepare for shipment. This will be reflected in the estimated delivery date range provided in checkout. 
 
2. Shipping Address
The location where your package is being delivered.
For all items that are available for shipping, you may choose Standard Shipping (3–5 business days), Premium Shipping (2 business days) and Express Shipping (1 business day). Business days do not include weekends. Some items cannot be shipped using Premium or Express Shipping due to size, weight, delivery address and vendor constraints. These items will only have Standard Shipping available.
 
Standard Shipping
Standard Shipping is typically the default checkout setting. Your package is expected to be delivered within 3–5 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Standard Shipping.
 
Premium Shipping
Premium Shipping is the second-quickest way to get your order. Your package is expected to be delivered within 2 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Premium Shipping.
 
Express Shipping
Express Shipping is the fastest way to get your order. Your package is expected to be delivered within 1 business day after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Express Shipping.
 
We have additional shipping options that are only available at select times or in select areas:
 
1. Seasonal Shipping
Your order should arrive on or before the specific date noted during checkout. This is usually a holiday or release date for pre-order items  .
 
2. Rush Delivery
If you order before 1:30pm local time Monday–Saturday, you will receive your order between 6–9pm the same day. If you order after 1:30pm Monday–Saturday, or at any time Sundays or holidays, your order will be delivered the next business day between 6–9pm.
We offer a variety of special delivery services for large items like furniture. You’ll know if your item qualifies for special delivery services because it’ll be noted on the item’s page. After you place your order, you may be asked to confirm your address and answer some questions to determine if there will be any restrictions for completing your delivery. 
 
Here are the special delivery options we offer:
 
1. To-the-Door Delivery
Item is delivered to the doorstep outside of the residence. There is no need to be present at the time of delivery, and a signature is not required. The carrier will contact you via email to introduce themselves, and once your shipment is in transit they will provide an appointed day for delivery. It is important that any known delivery restrictions (such as gated community or apartment complex) be shared with the carrier to ensure a successful delivery experience.
 
2. Inside-the-Door Delivery
Appointment required; item will be brought inside the door to the first dry area within the residence. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the package. The carrier will contact you via email to introduce themselves and once your shipment is in transit they will provide an appointed day for delivery. It is important that any known delivery restrictions (such as gated community or apartment complex) be shared with the carrier to ensure a successful delivery experience.
 
3. Room of Choice 
Appointment required; item will be brought inside the door and to the room of choice. Items will remain in original packaging and assembly is not included. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the package. The carrier will contact you via email to introduce themselves and once your shipment is in transit they will provide an appointed day and time window for delivery. The delivery team is only authorized to place your item on a deck or patio by access through the residence. It is important that any known delivery restrictions (such as gated community or apartment complex) be shared with the carrier to ensure a successful delivery experience. 
 
4. White Glove Delivery 
Appointment required; item will be brought inside the door and to the room of choice. Items will be removed from packaging and debris will be removed from home. Fifteen minutes of inspection, prep, and/or setup will be included when required. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the package. The carrier will contact you via email to introduce themselves and once your shipment is in transit they will provide an appointed day and time window for delivery.. The delivery team is only authorized to place your item on a deck or patio by access through the residence. It is important that any known delivery restrictions (such as gated community or apartment complex) be shared with the carrier to ensure a successful delivery experience.

5. White Glove Assembly 
Appointment required; item will be brought inside the door and to the room of choice. Items may arrive pre-assembled or be assembled on site. The carrier will provide details at the time of scheduling. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the package. The carrier will contact you via email to introduce themselves and once your shipment is in transit they will provide an appointed day and time window for delivery. It is important that any known delivery restrictions (such as gated community or apartment complex) be shared with the carrier to ensure a successful delivery experience.
Shipping fees are determined based on an item's weight, size and dimensions, or based on where it's being delivered. Depending on your ZIP code, your order may include a special-distance shipping fee in addition to the standard shipping charge.

Some items require a handling fee. This is noted on the item's product information page and during checkout.

Remember, there are two ways to get free Standard or To-the-Door Shipping:
  • Spend $50 or more.
  • Pay with REDcard®. You'll also save 5% on your order and we'll waive any handling fees.
You'll see your estimated shipping, handling and taxes listed in checkout before you place your order.

On the checkout screen, payments, including those made with a Target GiftCard or Target eGiftCard, may not reflect shipping/tax amounts in remaining-due and order-summary fields until the final-review and place-order screen.

After reviewing this page, you can edit, submit or cancel your order.
Refuse your order when the shipping company tries to deliver the package. When we receive the item(s), we'll credit your account for the price of items and any shipping costs.
The following shipping and delivery restrictions apply to Target.com orders:

Alaska or Hawaii
Target.com can ship most items to any of the 50 states, but there are a few restrictions for Alaska and Hawaii.

The product description page of an item will indicate if we can't ship to Alaska or Hawaii, but basic rules for items we're not able to ship include items that come directly from the manufacturer, heavy or oversized products, and certain cosmetics and fragrances.

Overseas Military and Diplomatic Mail Addresses
Target.com can ship most items to:
  • Army/Air Force Post Office (APO): for U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force postal facilities;
  • Fleet Post Office (FPO): for U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard postal facilities; and
  • Diplomatic Post Office (DPO): for U.S. Embassy addresses.
 
Target.com can ship most items to APO, FPO and DPO addresses, but only by standard U.S. mail. The shipping information in the product description will indicate if the item can be shipped.

Shipment restrictions to APO, FPO and DPO addresses include: heavy or oversized products; food, including candy; items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer; some cosmetics and fragrances; and items with lithium-ion batteries.
 
Dual Address & PO Box
  • It's best to avoid using dual addresses as they may delay order delivery.
  • To ensure the system recognizes the address, enter address as "PO Box #[number]."
  • The Post Office may hold packages if you don't have a PO Box and they don't provide street delivery. Contact the Post Office for any held items.
  • Due to weight and dimensional limits, some items can't be shipped to Post Office (PO) Boxes. If we can't ship an item to a PO Box, restrictions will be noted under the Shipping section in Item Details.
Freight Forwarding Services
  • Target.com doesn't ship to freight forwarders or addresses outside the United States.
  • Since we can't access information from freight-forwarding services, we're unable to determine if final shipping addresses are within the United States.
  • As another option, we recommend shipping to a parcel pickup location within the United States where available.
Hotel/Hospital
  • We don't make special arrangements for shipping to hotels/hospitals, but there is nothing specifically in our shipment carrier's policies that would prevent shipments to hotels and hospitals.
  • As availability and shipping dates on our website are estimates and might change, we don't recommend having packages shipped to hotels/hospitals.
  • Please check with the hospital before placing your order, as some hospitals no longer allow deliveries.
  • If you choose to ship to a hotel/hospital, please include the room number and a phone number when placing the order.
  • If your package has already shipped, but won't arrive before your departure, we suggest notifying hotel/hospital management in advance to have them refuse the package. The package will be returned to us and we'll issue a full refund.
  • We aren't responsible for packages forwarded to another address from your temporary hotel/hospital address.
International
  • International shipping isn't currently available.
  • Most products at Target.com can be shipped to all 50 states, as well as APO/FPO/DPO addresses.
  • Target.com doesn't ship to Canada, Mexico, U.S. Protectorates, Guam, the Virgin Islands or any international address except for APO/FPO/DPO and the U.S. Territory of Puerto Rico.
  • Target.com can ship most items to APO/FPO/DPO addresses, but only by standard U.S. mail. Expedited (Premium and Express) shipping is not available for APO/FPO/DPO or Puerto Rico.
Lithium-ion Batteries
  • United States Postal Service (USPS) regulation prohibits shipping of electronic devices with a lithium battery to destinations outside the United States.
  • Ban doesn't apply to private carriers such as DHL, FedEx and UPS.

Prisons
Each correctional institution has its own rules governing what items it will and won't accept. Contact the correctional institution for rules specific to that location. Since Target can't guarantee a shipment will be sent by a non-signature-required method, packages sent to a jail or prison may be returned to us as undeliverable. Undeliverable items will be sent back to Target.com and we'll issue a refund. In the future, you can have item(s) shipped to yourself and you can forward to the prison.
 
If your item qualifies for Signature Required, it will be noted on the item's page and within the checkout experience. An appointment may be required and someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the package.
It’s determined by total weight. You can follow this simple guide to determine whether your order will ship via a standard or specialty carrier:
 
Items less than 150 pounds: 
Delivered to your door using a standard carrier (e.g., UPS, USPS, or FedEx).
 
Items greater than 150 pounds: 
Delivered by a specialty carrier. Depending on service level, could be delivered to your door or inside your home.
If a carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we’ll notify you of the return by email and issue a full refund (including shipping charges). We are unable to re-ship orders that are returned to us as undeliverable. If you would still like to purchase items that were undeliverable, you are welcome to place another order at Target.com with a new shipping address.

If you believe your order was deemed undeliverable, you should receive confirmation of its return or a refund within four weeks of the estimated delivery date. If more than four weeks have passed, please contact us.
Our carriers may deem a package undeliverable for any of the following reasons, including, but not limited to, the reasons listed below:
  • Incorrect or out-of-date address
  • P.O. Box format (please enter P.O Box shipping address as “P.O. Box” followed by the number)
  • Due to weight and dimensional limits, some items can’t be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
  • Illegible label
  • Other address problems
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Refused by recipient
It’s easy to ship your order to more than one address. We’ll create a separate order for each shipping address. Here’s how:
  1. During checkout, enter all of the addresses you want to ship to. If they’re not already displayed in your address list, just click enter a new address.
  2. When you have entered all of the addresses into your list, click ship to multiple addresses.
  3. Then, choose an address and shipping method for each item in your order. You’ll receive an email acknowledgement of your purchase as well as a confirmation when each item ships.
Depending on the ZIP code on your shipping address, your order may take additional time to reach you. To determine whether this increased transit time will affect your order, check the list below to find the special-distance ZIP codes for each state. If your order's destination ZIP code matches the first three digits of a ZIP code listed below, this increased transit time may apply. If you have not received an appointed day for your specialty carrier delivery and more than 1 business day has elapsed beyond your estimated delivery date, please contact the carrier via the information provided in your shipment confirmation email.
