Target Help
For all items that are available for shipping, you may choose:
  • Standard Shipping: Standard Shipping is typically the default checkout setting. Your package is expected to be delivered within 3–5 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Standard Shipping.
  • Premium Shipping: Premium Shipping is the second quickest way to get your order. Your package is expected to be delivered within 2 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Premium Shipping.
  • Express Shipping: Express Shipping is the fastest way to get your order. Your package is expected to be delivered within 1 business day after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Express Shipping.

Business days do not include weekends. Some items cannot be shipped using Premium or Express Shipping due to size, weight, delivery address and vendor constraints. These items will only have Standard Shipping available.

We have additional shipping options that are only available at select times or in select areas:
  • Seasonal Shipping: Choose free Seasonal Shipping Delivery for eligible items to receive your order by Christmas Eve.
  • Rush Delivery: If you order before 1:30pm local time Monday–Saturday, you'll receive your order between 6–9pm the same day. If you order after 1:30pm Monday–Saturday or at any time Sundays or holidays, your order will be delivered the next business day between 6–9pm.

The “estimated delivery date” appears during checkout and in your order acknowledgement email. The date range indicates when we expect to fulfill your order. It is determined by a number of factors, including: 
  • Product Availability: If the item is listed as "in stock," it will usually be ready to ship within 1–2 business days. During holidays, special or exclusive promotions or due to other factors, some "in stock" items may have a longer lead time to prepare for shipment. This will be reflected in the estimated delivery date range provided in checkout. 
  • Shipping Address: The location where your package is being delivered.

You can place an order for international delivery using our international site managed by Borderfree at intl.target.com. Here are the benefits you'll experience through our partnership with Borderfree:

International shipping costs vary based on shipping speed, number and weight of items, and the destination country. Shipping costs are calculated and guaranteed during Borderfree international checkout. Your order total will display in your preferred currency, including all shipping costs, applicable duties and taxes imposed by Customs and revenue authorities in the destination country. 

You’ll be quoted an estimated delivery date at the time of checkout based on your destination and shipping methods. Once you complete your order, we ship your item(s) to the Borderfree shipping hub in the United States. Borderfree then ships your order to its international destination. Your credit card will be billed by Borderfree when your international order is shipped.

We offer several delivery options for large or heavy items like furniture. If your item qualifies for special delivery services it’ll be noted on the item details page and/or during checkout. After you place your order, our carrier will contact you to coordinate delivery of your item.

To-the-Door Delivery
  • Item will be placed outside your home in the first available dry area. You don't need to be present for delivery. Unpacking and debris removal aren't included. 
  • After you place your order, the delivery carrier, EFW, will contact you to provide details for your delivery. When your item is in transit, EFW will contact you to provide a delivery date. 

Inside-the-Door Delivery
  • Item will be brought inside the door to the first available area within your residence. Unpacking and debris removal aren't included. 
  • After you place your order, the carrier, EFW, will contact you to provide details for your delivery. When your item is in transit, EFW will contact you to schedule delivery. You must choose a 4-hour time window on an available weekday. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery. 
 
Room of Choice 
  • Item will be brought inside your home to your room of choice. Unpacking and debris removal aren't included. 
  • After you place your order, the carrier, EFW, will contact you to provide details for your delivery. When your item is in transit, EFW will contact you to schedule delivery. You must choose a 4-hour time window on an available weekday. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery. 
 
White Glove Delivery 
  • Item will be brought inside your home to your room of choice. Item will be removed from packaging, and debris will be removed from home. Fifteen minutes of inspection, prep, and/or setup will be included as long as no tools are required. The carrier will not provide any gas connections or gas-line assembly on grills.
  • After you place your order, the carrier, EFW, will contact you to provide details for your delivery. When your item is in transit, EFW will contact you to schedule delivery. You must choose a 4-hour time window on an available weekday. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery. 

White Glove Assembly 
  • Item will be brought inside your home to your room of choice. Item may arrive pre-assembled or be fully assembled on site. Packaging, and debris will be removed from your home. The carrier will not provide any gas connections or gas-line assembly on grills.
  • After you place your order, the carrier, EFW, will contact you to provide details for your delivery. When your item is in transit, EFW will contact you to schedule delivery. You must choose a 4-hour time window on an available weekday. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery. 

You cannot change your delivery service after your order has been placed. Some options are not available depending on the item. Any known delivery restrictions, such as a gated community or apartment complex, must be shared with the carrier to ensure a successful delivery.

Shipping charges may be refunded depending on the reason for your Target.com return. If your shipping charges aren't refunded, please call Target Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869 to see if you're eligible for a refund. You may not be refunded for shipping charges if:
  • The return was declined by our online return center.
  • The return was not due to an error by Target.

If you placed an order and haven’t received it yet, you can refuse your order when the shipper delivers your package. When we receive the returned items, we’ll credit your account for the price of the items and any shipping costs.

Shipping fees are determined based on an item's weight, size and dimensions, and the delivery destination. Depending on your ZIP code, your order may include a special distance shipping fee in addition to the standard shipping charge. Some items require a handling fee. This is noted on the item's product information page and during checkout. You'll see your estimated shipping, handling and taxes listed in checkout before you place your order.

During checkout, payments, including those made with a Target GiftCard or Target eGiftCard, may not reflect shipping/tax amounts in the order summary field until the place order screen.

Remember, there are two ways to get free Standard Shipping:
  • Spend $25 or more.
  • Pay with Target REDcard™. You'll also save 5% on your order.

The following shipping and delivery restrictions apply to Target.com orders:

Alaska or Hawaii
  • Target.com can ship most items to any of the 50 states, but there are a few restrictions for Alaska and Hawaii.
  • The product description page of an item will indicate if we can't ship to Alaska or Hawaii, but basic rules for items we're not able to ship include items that come directly from the manufacturer, heavy or oversized products, and certain cosmetics and fragrances.

Overseas Military and Diplomatic Mail Addresses
  • Target.com can ship most items to:
    • Army/Air Force Post Office (APO): U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force postal facilities
    • Fleet Post Office (FPO): U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard postal facilities
    • Diplomatic Post Office (DPO): U.S. Embassy addresses
  • Items can be shipped only by standard U.S. mail when using the U.S. domestic checkout at www.target.com. The shipping information in the product description will indicate if the item can be shipped. Expedited (Premium and Express) shipping is not available for APO/FPO/DPO or Puerto Rico.
  • Shipment restrictions to APO, FPO and DPO addresses include: heavy or oversized products; food, including candy; items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer; some cosmetics and fragrances; and items with lithium-ion batteries.
 
Dual Address & PO Box
  • It's best to avoid using dual addresses as they may delay order delivery.
  • To ensure the system recognizes the address, enter address as "PO Box #[number]."
  • The Post Office may hold packages if you don't have a PO Box and they don't provide street delivery. Contact the Post Office for any held items.
  • Due to weight and dimensional limits, some items can't be shipped to Post Office (PO) Boxes. If we can't ship an item to a PO Box, restrictions will be noted under the Shipping section in Item Details.
Hotel/Hospital
  • We don't make special arrangements for shipping to hotels/hospitals, but there is nothing specifically in our shipment carrier's policies that would prevent shipments to hotels and hospitals.
  • As availability and shipping dates on our website are estimates and might change, we don't recommend having packages shipped to hotels/hospitals.
  • Please check with the hospital before placing your order, as some hospitals no longer allow deliveries.
  • If you choose to ship to a hotel/hospital, please include the room number and a phone number when placing the order.
  • If your package has already shipped, but won't arrive before your departure, we suggest notifying hotel/hospital management in advance to have them refuse the package. The package will be returned to us and we'll issue a full refund.
  • We aren't responsible for packages forwarded to another address from your temporary hotel/hospital address.
International
  • Guests can place orders for international delivery using our international site managed by Borderfree. Visit intl.target.com to browse Target.com merchandise and to learn about delivery options. For information about Borderfree, visit shop.borderfree.com/help
  • Some merchandise may not be available for purchase due to country restrictions. If for some reason there are items that cannot be exported from the United States or imported into the destination country, you'll receive notification from Borderfree.
  • International orders are not eligible for REDcard free shipping.
Freight Forwarding Services
  • Target.com doesn't ship to freight forwarders or addresses outside the United States.
  • Since we can't access information from freight-forwarding services, we're unable to determine if final shipping addresses are within the United States.
  • As another option, we recommend shipping to a parcel pickup location within the United States where available. You can also visit our international site managed by Borderfree at intl.target.com to determine if we ship to your destination country.
Lithium-ion Batteries
  • United States Postal Service (USPS) regulation prohibits shipping of electronic devices with a lithium battery to destinations outside the United States.
  • Ban doesn't apply to private carriers such as DHL, FedEx and UPS.
  • See shipping information in product description for details.
Prisons
  • Each correctional institution has its own rules governing what items it will and won't accept. Contact the correctional institution for specific rules.
  • Since Target can't guarantee a shipment will be sent by a non-signature-required method, packages sent to a jail or prison may be returned to us as undeliverable. Undeliverable items will be sent back to Target.com and we'll issue a refund. You can have item(s) shipped to yourself and you can forward to the prison.

A carrier may deem a package undeliverable for a number of reasons including, but not limited to: 
  • Incorrect or out-of-date address
  • Incorrect P.O. Box format
  • Weight and dimensional limits (some items can’t be shipped to P.O. Boxes)
  • Illegible label
  • Other address problems
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Refused by recipient
  • Damaged in transit

If a carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we’ll notify you of the return by email and issue a full refund, including shipping charges. We're unable to re-ship orders that are returned to us as undeliverable, but you're welcome to place another order with a new shipping address.

If you believe your order was deemed undeliverable, you should receive confirmation of its return or a refund within four weeks of the estimated delivery date. If more than four weeks have passed, call Target.com Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869.

Depending on your shipping address ZIP code, your order may take additional time to reach you. Check the list below to find the special-distance ZIP codes for each state. If your order's destination ZIP code matches the first three digits of a ZIP code listed, this increased transit time may apply. If your estimated delivery date has passed by more than one business day and you haven’t receive an appointed day for your specialty carrier delivery, contact the carrier listed in your shipment confirmation email.
