For qualifying purchases, we’re giving guests extra time to return purchases made between November 1 and December 24, 2025. The return window begins December 26, 2025.


Here’s how it works:

  • Electronics & Entertainment items (excluding Apple and Beats):
    You’ll have 30 days from December 26 to make a return - items must be returned by January 24, 2026.
  • Apple & Beats products and mobile phones (unlocked or pre-paid):
    You’ll have 14 days from December 26 to make a return - items must be returned by January 8, 2026.
  • Target Plus™ items:
    Most Target Plus™ items (excluding seasonal holiday décor) will have 30 days from December 26 to make a return - items must be returned by January 24, 2026.

We don’t offer multiple shipping options on most items because our policy is to give you the fastest shipping available, whether that’s standard (estimated delivery date provided), 2-day or next-day shipping. To receive free shipping, spend $35 or more, place your order using your Target Circle™ Card or become a Target Circle 360 member. Otherwise, pay $5.99. (Orders to Alaska, Hawaii and Protectorates may be charged an additional shipping cost, which can be avoided by paying with a Target Circle Card or becoming a Target Circle 360 member. Upgrades, such as “room of choice” delivery and assembly, may be available for some items.) Refer to the product details page for estimated delivery dates. Order cutoff times vary by market. Your order may ship in multiple packages to arrive faster.
 
Some shipping orders are eligible for no-rush shipping and could have multiple packages consolidated. This may change your delivery dates. Packages that qualify will be eligible for a $1 discount off the merchandise subtotal. Merchandise subtotal does not include Gift Cards, eGiftCards, Mobile GiftCards, tax or shipping and handling charges. Discount will be displayed and applied at checkout. May not be applied to previous orders. Ineligible carts will not be shown an option to consolidate and will not receive the discount.  


Please note:
  • Some items may not be eligible for 2-day shipping due to size, weight, quantities, delivery address or vendor constraints. 
  • While most items ship within 24 hours, some vendors and shipping locations may require additional processing time. This processing time is factored into the estimated delivery date shown at checkout.

Target's Price Match Guarantee

  • Starting November 1, 2025, if you purchase an item in store or online and the price goes lower at Target on or before December 24, 2025, you can request a price match. Learn more about Target's holiday price match policy.
  • We’ll match the price if you buy a qualifying item at Target and then find the identical item for less at Target.com, in Target stores or with a Target Circle™ deal (deals that apply automatically upon identifying yourself as a Target Circle member). Price matches may be requested at time of purchase or within 14 days after purchase. 
  • To request a price match for purchases made in store, provide proof of the current lower price at Guest Services in your local Target store. For Target.com or Target app purchases, chat with us online or call Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869.
  • Reference the details below for more information on what items are eligible for price matching and what proof is required.

Guidelines & Limitations

  • The price for an item must be listed and valid at the time of match. If Target is not able to verify the lower price, we may decline the request. 
  • The item must be the identical item, brand name, size, weight, color, quantity and model number. 
  • Proof of any Target Circle deal requires member sign in, sign up or mobile number entered at checkout.
  • Please show the online price or digital version of the ad on your mobile device for proof of price; Target team member will verify. 
  • Original receipts, physical or digital, or packing slips are required for price adjustments up to 14 days after purchase.
  • In-store price matches from other Target stores are excluded.
  • When price matching with the Target app, the Target app must be showing the price of the current store location.
  • We match Target.com prices on in-store Target purchases and in-store Target prices for Target.com purchases. 
  • Price match of items sold by Target.com or prices through the Target app are not available in Alaska and Hawaii.
  • We reserve the right to deny purchase and limit quantities per guest.

Exclusions

  • Target Circle Bonuses (just-for-you bonuses that you must tap to add in the Target app or on Target.com), gift card offers (Target GiftCard, specialty and pre-paid gift card), Registry completion coupons and Target coupons cannot be combined with price match. Manufacturer coupons will be applied after a price match is made, for in-store purchases only. Please review our coupon policy for additional details.
  • Clearance, closeout, liquidation sales, damaged, used, open package, refurbished, pre-owned, or rent / lease to own items, discount on total store or site purchase, deals that require a minimum purchase, non-branded items,
  • Pricing due to typographical errors.
  • All credit card offers, gift card offers financing, service offers, bundled offers, sales tax promotions, free items, rebates or mail-in offers.
  • Contract mobile phone devices and the associated plans, optical, product services (warranties, assembly, etc.), clinic and pharmacy purchases and offers, or pre-order items.
  • Items containing alcohol will be subject to state-by-state regulations.
  • Target items cannot be price matched to Target Plus items.

For purchases between November 1 through December 24, 2025, there's an extended return window for electronics and entertainment, including Apple® & Beats® products and most Target Plus items. Learn more about the holiday extended return window.

Target's Return Policy
Most unopened items sold by Target in new condition and returned within 90 days will receive a refund or exchange. The return window for items sold on Target.com begins once the order has been invoiced. Invoicing happens when any part of the order is shipped, delivered by a Shipt shopper or made ready for pick up. Some items sold by Target have a modified return policy noted on the receipt, packing slip, Target policy board (refund exceptions), Target.com or in the item description. Items that are opened or damaged or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund or exchange.

Target Plus™ Partner’s Return Policy
Most unopened items sold by Target Plus in new condition and returned within 30 days will receive a refund. The return window for items sold on Target.com begins once the order has been invoiced. All items sold by Partners must be returned to Target either in store or by mail. Some items sold by a Target Plus Partner have a modified return policy on Target.com. Items that are opened or damaged may be denied a refund. In-store returns without an eligible receipt will be denied. Some items may have a shorter return window. Refer to the Shipping & Returns section of the individual item’s description or the Return Exceptions section.

Target reserves the right to deny returns, refunds and exchanges including but not limited to prevent fraud, suspected fraud or abuse.

Returns and exchanges without a receipt may be limited. Other restrictions may apply.
  • Target Owned Brand items: If you’re not satisfied with any Target Owned Brand item, return it within one year with a receipt for an exchange or a refund.
  • EBT card purchases: Any item paid for with an EBT card online must be returned within 90 days of the date it was shipped, delivered by a Shipt shopper, or made ready for pickup. This 90-day return window is required by SNAP.
  • Target Circle Card purchases: Target Circle™ debit and credit card holders and Target Circle 360 members will receive an extra 30 days to return nearly all items purchased with their Target Circle Card at Target and Target.com. Visit Target.com/CircleCard for full details and exclusions.
  • Holiday & limited-time-only collections: Items may have modified return policies.
  • Purchases at Target Optical, Warby Parker, Pharmacy, Starbucks & Target Tech: Items must be returned or exchanged at these areas.
  • International purchases: Target stores cannot accept international returns or exchanges, including international returns and exchanges of online purchases

The following items cannot be returned:
  • Trading cards & trading card accessories (e.g., Pokemon, Sport cards, trading card binders)
  • Open or defective collectibles (e.g., special edition Barbie dolls, porcelain dolls, action figures and die-cast cars)
  • Personalized items and digital downloads
  • Opened / Unsealed breast pumps
  • Specialty gift cards, pre-paid gift cards and Target GiftCards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash or credit except where required by law. This includes Target GiftCards, Visa®, Mastercard®, or American Express® Gift Card, restaurant, entertainment, lottery cards.
  • Fragrances sold by Target Plus™ Partners.

The following items are eligible only for exchange if opened:
  • Music, movies, video games and software (exchange for same title, for same or different gaming platform)
  • Airbeds (exchange for similar item)

The following items have a shorter window for returns and exchanges:
  • Electronics and entertainment items (excluding Apple® & Beats products) must be returned / exchanged within 30 days.
  • All Apple® & Beats products (including mobile phones) must be returned / exchanged within 14 days.
  • Mobile phones purchased in-store or online via Order Pickup must be returned / exchanged within 14 days.
  • Most items sold by Target Plus Partners must be returned within 30 days.

Additional Fees: Mobile Phones
  • Mobile phones purchased with a carrier contract may be subject to early termination fees per carrier contract if returned or exchanged. Contract items and carrier plans must be returned in a Target store with help from a Target Tech Rep.
  • A restocking charge of up to $35 for phones may apply except where prohibited. The restocking charge will be taxed in select states. There is no restocking charge if the product is unopened.

We’ll email updates as we process your order, including carrier tracking details for shipped orders. You can also check the status of an order at any time in order details.

To visit order details in the Target app, select your name icon in the lower right corner, then select Purchases. On Target.com, select Orders in the upper right corner. Select the order from Purchases or select the order from Order history to view order details, including status and tracking details.

Tracking information can take up to 24 hours to appear after your item ships. You can enable notifications in the Target app to receive status updates.

Place your order by the order cutoff time to receive 2-day shipping on select items to select ZIP codes. The order cutoff is typically 12 p.m. local time in the destination to which you’re shipping, but may vary depending on item location. Refer to the product detail page for estimated delivery dates. Standard shipping fees may apply. To qualify for free 2-day shipping, you must use your Target CircleCard or place an order over $35.

Thousands of items qualify for 2-day shipping. Item eligibility and assortment vary by market and are determined by the location of the item and the destination ZIP code. If an item is eligible for 2-day shipping, it’ll be noted on the product detail page and on the cart & check out page. 

For items that don’t qualify for 2-day shipping, Target offers standard shipping. With standard shipping, your items are expected to be delivered within 3-5 business days after the items have shipped. Standard shipping is free on orders over $35 or on orders placed with a Target CircleCard.

The charts below provide general delivery guidelines for 2-day shipping. Actual delivery dates depend on order cutoff times and carrier delivery schedules. Refer to the product detail page for estimated delivery dates.

Some items ship in the original manufacturer's packaging, not a Target box. There may be a picture on the packaging that reveals what's inside. In most cases, this is noted on the item detail page and during checkout. If the item you wish to purchase can’t be left in a safe space or if you’re giving it as a gift and don’t want to ruin the surprise, here are a couple options:

  • Have the item sent to your workplace or to a relative’s house.
  • Choose Order Pickup if available.

We'll send an email confirmation as soon as we receive your order. Once we start processing it, items may be canceled for reasons such as:
  • An item becomes unavailable
  • The payment method can't be processed
  • The shipping address can't be verified
For Order Pickup or Drive Up, we'll cancel items that aren't picked up during the pickup window. We'll send an email about the cancellation and, when possible, include helpful details around updating payment or address details or reordering items.

Your Drive Up or Order Pickup order will usually be ready for pickup within 2 hours after you place your order. 
  • Select stores may take up to 6 hours to have your order ready. Please refer to the item’s detail page or review timing in your cart.

Drive Up and Pickup orders can be canceled by:

  •  Accessing your order details page and cancel items. 
    • Target app: You can find this by going to Purchase history in your My Target tab.
    • Target.com: Find by going to Orders in your name drop-down.
  • Calling Target.com Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869.
  • Requesting a cancellation at the Guest Services desk in your pickup store.
  • Not picking the order up within the pickup window.
