Make sure you are using the latest version of the Target app on your phone. Visit the Apple® App Store or Google Play Store for an update, as needed.

Issues Loading or Connecting in Target Store (Wi-Fi)
If you're having trouble pulling up your barcode or the Target app in your Target store, and you're using Wi-Fi, make sure you're connected to Target Guest Wi-Fi.
  • You will need to accept the "Guest Wi-Fi Terms & Conditions" in order to gain access to the Wi-Fi network. You may prompt this by attempting to visit a website in your mobile browser that is not https://. This should bring up the "Wifi Terms & Conditions" box that you'll need to check, which should solve any Wi-Fi network connectivity issues.
  • If you are connected to Target Guest Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, go to your device's Wi-Fi settings and select the "i" icon and select Forget This Network, then select to join the Target Guest Wi-Fi network. The app experience is much better on this network.
  • Select Auto-Join from your device's Wi-Fi settings once connected to Target Guest Wi-Fi network to ensure you connect quickly on your next Target Run.
Alternatively, you may also turn Wi-Fi off while shopping in store and use your cellular data network to successfully access the app (if you have a good wireless signal, and keep in mind that data rates may apply).

Oops Error on Drive Up / Order Pickup
Make sure your last name hasn't fallen off your account, which can cause this type of error when you’re placing an order. Visit here to update the information in your Target account.

Error Adding Items to Shopping List
Please note, there's currently a 250 item max for Target shopping lists, including items that have been checked off as completed. If you're over this limit, deleting items from your list should do the trick. To do so, swipe left on an item and select Delete.

Additional Troubleshooting
If things still aren't loading quite right, it can often help to force stop the app and retry. It may also be helpful to toggle between Wi-Fi and cellular data temporarily (keep in mind, data rates may apply).
