Target provides AT&T phones and plans for contract, Consumer Cellular postpaid, and AT&T, Total by Verizon, Tracfone, and Boost Mobile phones and plans for prepaid phones. These include new and upgrade 2-year agreements, add-a-line, monthly leasing plans, and airtime prepaid minutes.

Target will partner with your carrier to explore options for purchasing a new phone with your existing carrier. 

You can continue to use your existing phone number if you purchase a new mobile phone, even if you switch to a new carrier.

Target offers mobile insurance plans with the purchase of a new mobile device. These plans must be purchased at the same time the mobile device is purchased. Insurance plans cover scenarios such as accidental damage or cracked screens.

When you purchase a phone through Target Tech, you will sign a contract with the carrier, who will send a bill each month.

If your phone qualified for a promotional Target GiftCard, you’ll get it when you activate your phone at the cell phone activation counter. If you later decide to return your phone, we’ll need the gift card back, too. If you’ve already used it, you’ll pay back the promotional value instead.

We make phone returns simple. Just bring it back to the cell phone activation counter at any store within 14 days of pickup. The carrier account holder must be present with a valid ID. (We don’t currently allow cell phones to be returned by mail.)
