  • Shipt has implemented no-contact deliveries where shoppers are completing deliveries by leaving items at guests’ doors. 
  • Shoppers are able to pick up gloves and face masks at their local Target stores. Shipt also has sent individual safety kits, including gloves and hand sanitizer, to the most active shoppers and those in high-risk areas. 
  • Shoppers are encouraged to follow CDC guidance for maintaining hygiene.

Same Day Delivery, Shipt.com and the Shipt app provide delivery from your local store via a local community of reliable shoppers. Once you become a member, eligible items in any order can be delivered the same day. You can choose a one-hour delivery window and a Shipt shopper will fulfill and deliver your order during normal store business hours.

Same Day Delivery (shopped by Shipt) on Target.com is available in all major metro areas and throughout most of the U.S., however, there are still some areas where availability is limited. Guests can place an order on Target.com that may include eligible items to be fulfilled by a Shipt Shopper and delivered the same day. There are four ways to place an order using Same Day Delivery:
  • Visit the Same Day Delivery home page on Target.com.  
  • Or select Same Day Delivery when shopping for eligible items on Target.com.
  • Or select Shop by category or on the My Store tab in your account in the Target app.
  • Or place a Target order on Shipt.com or via the Shipt app.
You can place as many orders as you want with a $35 minimum order.

Currently, you can purchase any item as long as it is available to be delivered through same-day delivery service. However, we’ve placed quantity limits at checkout on essential products (like hand sanitizer, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, ibuprofen, and more). Due to high demands for essential items, we’re continuing to make adjustments to update inventory and quantity limits as needed.

Shipt delivers seven days a week with the exception of certain holidays, and Shipt shoppers are available whenever the store is open. 

Deliveries can be scheduled for a one-hour window as soon as one hour after your order is placed. You’ll need to schedule your delivery during a time window in which someone will be home. If no one is home at the time of delivery, the Shipt shopper will call your mobile device to ask for options on how to complete the delivery. Please note, this could affect any perishable items.

Pricing, promotions, styles and availability may vary by store and online. 
  • You’ll see the price for your store on select items if you have your store set in your Target.com account if you’re at home on Target.com.

  • If your location services are turned off in your phone, you’ll see the price for your set store for select items.

Same Day Delivery (shopped by Shipt)
If you choose to enroll in an annual plan, you’ll receive a free, 4-week trial Shipt membership with your first eligible order. After the trial period, you’ll be charged for the annual plan. You can cancel any time prior to the end of your free trial. When your free trial ends, if you have not canceled, you’ll automatically be charged for a $99 annual plan for unlimited Same Day Delivery orders with no delivery fees on orders over $35.

Please note that membership fees aren’t eligible for Target Circle™ offers, Target team member discount or Target RedCard 5% discount.

If you are using the same email address for both your Shipt and your Target.com account and you've added a phone number to your Shipt account, your accounts should link automatically. 

If your email addresses do not match, you can either change the Shipt email address to match your Target.com account email address, or you can change the Target.com email address to match your Shipt account email address.

If your accounts are still not linking, log out of your Target.com and Shipt accounts, clear your cache and cookies, and attempt to log back in to your Target.com and Shipt accounts.

Orders can be edited or canceled up to one hour before your chosen delivery window.

To edit your order:
  1. Access your Target account.
  2. Select Orders, then select Online tab.
  3. Select the order you’d like to edit.
  4. Select the item you’d like to edit or select Add an item to add an additional item.

To cancel order:
  1. Access your Target account.
  2. Select Orders, then select Online tab.
  3. Select order you’d like to cancel.
  4. Select Cancel order next to Change your mind?, then select Cancel order in pop-up drawer.

Shipt shoppers do accept tips! If you're happy with the service you've received, we encourage you to tip your Shipt shopper as well as rate them. Shipt shoppers receive 100% of their tips, but all other feedback and ratings are anonymous.

To tip from your Target.com account:
  1. Sign in to your Target account.
  2. Select Orders.
  3. Select the Online tab.
  4. Select the order for which you’d like to tip.
  5. Select Rate & tip your shopper and follow prompts.

To tip from the Target app:
  1. Go to the Account tab.
  2. Select the Online tab under Purchases.
  3. Select the order you’d like to tip.
  4. Select Rate & Tip and follow prompts.

To tip in cash:

Once you place an order, you may have a pending authorization on your debit or credit card account in the amount of the estimated order total. While authorization holds are not actual charges, they allow your bank to reserve funds so the order can be processed. Authorization holds are temporary and only remain in effect until they expire, the card issuer removes the hold, or the authorization is settled. Once an item has shipped, the authorization hold is removed and charges will post to your debit or credit card account.

It’s possible that you may have multiple authorizations and/or charges on your account for an order. Authorization holds may be requested for individual items if your order ships in multiple shipments. You may also have any combination of the following:
  • An authorization hold in the amount of the estimated order total.
  • Posted charge(s) for shipped item(s).
  • New authorization holds for remaining items that haven't shipped.
  • Individual authorizations and/or charges when your order includes a combination of items sold by Target and Target Plus™ Partners.

PayPal® authorization holds can be extended up to 365 days, renewing every 30 days.

If at any point an authorization hold request fails, Target automatically cancels the order. If you need help requesting the removal of an authorization hold, contact your card issuing bank.
