Orders containing multiple items, may arrive in one or more shipments with multiple tracking numbers. Items may be shipping from multiple warehouses, vendors, or stores. This may result in different delivery timing.

If order details indicate all items/shipments in the order have been delivered, it’s possible part of the order was left out in error. For the fastest resolution, select fix an issue in order details and follow the prompts, or visit here to report an item missing from your order

Target.com offers the following shipping options, which may vary by item:
  • Standard Shipping: Standard shipping is typically the default checkout setting. Your item(s) are expected to be delivered within 3–5 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. Spend $35 or more, or place your order using your RedCard and receive free standard shipping.
    • Your order may ship in multiple packages so we’re able to deliver your order faster. 
    • Some ship to home orders are eligible to have multiple packages consolidated. This may change your delivery dates. Packages that qualify will be eligible for a $1 off discount off of merchandise subtotal. Merchandise subtotal does not include Gift Cards, eGiftCards, MobileGiftCards, gift wrap, tax or shipping and handling charges. Discount will be displayed and applied at checkout. May not be applied to previous orders. Ineligible carts will not be shown an option to consolidate and will not receive the discount.
  • 2-Day Shipping: Depending on the item origin and shipping destination, 2-day shipping may be available in select areas. Your item(s) are expected to be delivered within 2 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. For eligible items, spend $35 or more, or place your order using your RedCard and receive free 2-day shipping. 
  • Express Shipping: Your item(s) are expected to be delivered within 1 business day after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. 

Please note:
  • Business days don’t typically include weekends, however Saturday deliveries may occur in select ZIP codes. 
  • Some items may not be eligible for 2-day or express shipping due to size, weight, quantities, delivery address or vendor constraints. 
  • Shipping charges for Express shipping are calculated on a "per order" basis, including shipping, order processing, item selection and packaging costs, and will only apply to the items using these shipping speeds. 
  • While most items ship within 24 hours, some vendors and shipping locations may require additional processing time. This processing time is factored into the estimated delivery date shown at checkout.

Many items can be shipped to any of the 50 states and APO/FPO addresses. Shipping to the following destinations is based upon the item meeting certain guidelines and restrictions may apply:

The 'estimated delivery date' appears during checkout and in your order acknowledgement email. The date range indicates when we expect to fulfill your order. It is determined by a number of factors, including: 
  • Product Availability: If the item is listed as "in stock," it will usually be ready to ship within 1–2 business days. During holidays, special or exclusive promotions or due to other factors, some "in stock" items may have a longer lead time to prepare for shipment. This will be reflected in the estimated delivery date range provided in checkout. 
  • Shipping Address: The location where your package is being delivered.

We offer several delivery options for large or heavy items like furniture. If your item qualifies for special delivery services, it’ll be noted on the item details page and/or during checkout. After you place your order, our carrier will contact you to coordinate delivery of your item.

To-the-Door Delivery
  • Item will be placed outside your home or outside your individual unit if living in an apartment building. Your item will be placed as close to the front door as possible. You don't need to be present for delivery, however, if you live in an apartment building, your presence may be required at the time of delivery for access to the area immediately outside your individual unit. Unpacking and debris removal aren't included.
  • When your item(s) arrive at the final delivery area, the delivery carrier will email you to set up your delivery.
  • The following are not guaranteed with To-the-Door Delivery:

Inside-the-Door Delivery/Through the Door
  • Item will be brought inside the door to the first available area within your home or inside your individual unit if living in an apartment building. Unpacking and debris removal aren't included. 
  • When your item(s) arrive at the final delivery area, the delivery carrier will email you to set up your delivery. An individual 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
  • The following are included with Inside-the-Door Delivery:

  • The following are not included with Inside-the-Door Delivery:

Room of Choice 
  • Item will be delivered inside your home or apartment to your room of choice. Unpacking and debris removal aren't included. 
  • When your item(s) arrive at the final delivery area, the delivery carrier will email you to set up your delivery. An individual 18 years of age or older must be present to sign for the delivery.
  • The following are included with Room of Choice Delivery:

You cannot change your delivery service after your order has been placed. Some options are not available depending on the item. Target.com orders over $35 or orders placed using a RedCard are eligible for free standard shipping. Orders under $35 that are placed without a RedCard will be charged a $5.99 flat fee for standard shipping. This is calculated on a "per order" basis and includes shipping, order processing, item selection and packaging costs.

You may have additional shipping charges or an increased shipping rate for the following scenarios:

The following shipping and delivery restrictions apply to Target.com orders:

Overseas Military and Diplomatic Mail Addresses
  • Target.com can ship many items to:
    • Army/Air Force Post Office (APO): U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force postal facilities
    • Fleet Post Office (FPO): U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard postal facilities
    • Diplomatic Post Office (DPO): U.S. Embassy addresses
  • Items can be shipped only by standard U.S. mail when using the U.S. domestic checkout at www.target.com. The product description will indicate if the item can be shipped. Expedited (Express) shipping is not available for APO/FPO/DPO or U.S. territories and protectorates (Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands).
  • Shipment restrictions to APO, FPO and DPO addresses include: heavy or oversized products; food, including candy; items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer; some cosmetics and fragrances; and items with lithium-ion batteries.

Alaska or Hawaii
  • Target.com can ship many items to any of the 50 states, but there are a few restrictions for Alaska and Hawaii.
  • The product description page of an item will indicate if we can't ship to Alaska or Hawaii, but basic rules for items we're not able to ship include items that come directly from the manufacturer, heavy or oversized products, and certain cosmetics and fragrances.
 
Dual Address & P.O. Box
  • It's best to avoid using dual addresses as they may delay order delivery.
  • To ensure the system recognizes the address, enter address as "P.O. Box #[number]."
  • The Post Office may hold packages if you don't have a P.O. Box and they don't provide street delivery. Contact the Post Office for any held items.
  • Due to weight and dimensional limits, some items can't be shipped to Post Office (P.O.) Boxes. If we can't ship an item to a P.O. Box, restrictions will be noted under the Shipping section in Item Details.
 
Hotel/Hospital
  • We don't recommend having packages shipped to hotels/hospitals as availability and shipping dates on our website are estimates and could change.
  • We don't make special arrangements for shipping to hotels/hospitals, but there is nothing specifically in our carrier's policy that would prevent shipments to hotels and hospitals.
  • Please check with the hospital before placing your order, as some hospitals don't allow deliveries.
  • If you choose to ship to a hotel/hospital, please include the room number and a phone number when placing the order.
  • If your package has already shipped, but won't arrive before your departure, we suggest notifying hotel/hospital management in advance to have them refuse the package. The package will be returned to us and we'll issue a full refund.
  • We aren't responsible for packages forwarded to another address from your temporary hotel/hospital address.
 
International
  • We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are no longer shipping to international countries via Borderfree. 
  • Orders placed before February 1, 2020 will still be processed.

Freight Forwarding Services
  • Target doesn't ship to international freight forwarders or addresses outside the United States.
  • As another option, we recommend shipping to a parcel pickup location within the United States where available. 

Lithium-ion Batteries
  • United States Postal Service (USPS) regulation prohibits shipping of electronic devices with a lithium battery to destinations outside the United States.
  • Ban doesn't apply to private carriers such as DHL, FedEx and UPS.
  • Review shipping information in product description for details.
 
Correctional Institution
  • Each correctional institution has its own rules governing what items it will and won't accept. Contact the correctional institution for specific rules.
  • Since Target can't guarantee a shipment will be sent by a non-signature-required method, packages sent to a correctional institution may be returned to us as undeliverable. Undeliverable items will be sent back to Target.com and we'll issue a refund.

Place your order by the order cutoff time to receive 2-day shipping on select items to select ZIP codes. The order cutoff is typically 12 p.m. local time in the destination to which you’re shipping, but may vary depending on item location. Refer to the product detail page for estimated delivery dates. Standard shipping fees may apply. To qualify for free 2-day shipping, you must use your RedCard or place an order over $35.

Thousands of items qualify for 2-day shipping. Item eligibility and assortment vary by market and are determined by the location of the item and the destination ZIP code. If an item is eligible for 2-day shipping, it’ll be noted on the product detail page and on the cart & check out page. 

For items that don’t qualify for 2-day shipping, Target offers standard shipping. With standard shipping, your items are expected to be delivered within 3-5 business days after the items have shipped. Standard shipping is free on orders over $35 or on orders placed with a RedCard.

The charts below provide general delivery guidelines for 2-day shipping. Actual delivery dates depend on order cutoff times and carrier delivery schedules. Refer to the product detail page for estimated delivery dates.

A carrier may deem a package undeliverable for a number of reasons including, but not limited to: 
  • Incorrect or out-of-date address
  • Incorrect P.O. Box format
  • Weight and dimensional limits (some items can’t be shipped to P.O. Boxes)
  • Illegible label
  • Other address problems
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Refused by recipient
  • Damaged in transit

If a carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we’ll notify you of the return by email and issue a full refund, including shipping charges. We're unable to re-ship orders that are returned to us as undeliverable, but you're welcome to place another order with a new shipping address.

If you believe your order was deemed undeliverable, you should receive confirmation of its return or a refund within four weeks of the estimated delivery date. If more than four weeks have passed, call Target.com Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869.

Depending on the status of items in the order, you can request an address change to an addressed saved to your Target.com account.
  1. Select the order in your Target.com account or the mobile app to view order details (you'll need to sign in). 
  2. Select Request address change. Please note this option will only appear for items that have yet to ship. 
  3. Select one of the addresses saved to your account.
  • To ship to an address not listed, visit your Addresses, then select Add a new address. You'll need to restart the address-change request once you've saved the new address.
  1. Select Continue and review updated order details.
  • Please note that changing the shipping address may change the estimated delivery date, shipping speed and/or taxes.

UPS, FedEx and USPS offer additional services to track and protect your packages. Please note, shipping carriers may charge additional fees for these services. 
  • Visit My USPS to track packages sent to your address and provide instructions for the delivery driver so the carrier knows where to leave the package.
  • Visit UPS My Choice to change the date, time and location of a delivery. You can also authorize the release of packages that require a signature, or have UPS hold packages at a local hub for pickup.
  • Visit FedEx Delivery Manager to customize a delivery time, have packages delivered to another address, request signature-required, or request to have packages held at a FedEx location for pickup.

Lower priced items are often cost-prohibitive to ship on their own. The $25 minimum purchase threshold allows us to offer a broader range of items for shipping, including smaller, more convenient sizes. 

Select items on Target.com may be noted “only ships with $25 orders.” When purchasing these items, your cart must have a merchandise subtotal of $25 or more before the order is eligible for shipping. Your RedCard discount, promotions, gift wrap, tax and shipping will not be included in determining your merchandise subtotal. While applying promotions and discounts may allow your cart total to fall below $25, you’ll still be eligible to receive shipping on these items.

If you’ve added items to your cart that only ship with $25 orders, messaging within the cart and checkout pages will share your progress in meeting the threshold and provide options for alternate fulfillment methods such as Order Pickup. To reach the $25 minimum threshold, you can increase the quantity of items in your cart or add additional items to your cart. If available, you can also select Order Pickup to avoid having to meet the minimum threshold. 

If your cart doesn’t meet the $25 threshold, you can still place your order for eligible-to-ship items. To proceed with checkout, items that only ship with $25 orders will need to be saved for future purchase by selecting save for later next to the item in your cart. 

Some items noted as “only ships with $25 orders” may also be eligible for subscription orders. When these items are purchased using our subscriptions program, the $25 threshold doesn’t apply. If you choose the one-time purchase option for these items, the $25 threshold applies.

Send & Receive is Target’s drop off and pick up service. It’s a new way for you to drop off packages and pick up packages from any retailer or major carriers including FedEx ®, UPS® and USPS®. Guests can drop off and pick up packages 7 days a week at participating Target locations during regular store hours. However, carriers will only service packages on their standard operating days:
  • FedEx: Monday – Friday, Saturday Express delivery only
  • UPS: Monday – Friday
  • USPS: Monday – Saturday 
  • Target Send & Receive program usage: Monday – Sunday

You can drop-off a pre-labeled and pre-packaged shipment for FedEx ®, UPS® or USPS® Guest Services at participating Target locations.

To drop off a package:
  1. Print your return or shipping label. Don’t have a label? Create and print one with FedEx, UPS or USPS.
  2. Securely seal your package and attach the label.
  3. Drop off at Guest Services at a participating Target location.
  4. Packages dropped off after the carrier pick up time will not be serviced until the following scheduled pick up.  If a customer has missed the pick up for the day, it is it’s recommended to find an alternate location if an arrival time guarantee is critical.

All packages must also comply with the package restrictions.

Enjoy safe and convenient package pick up by shipping your FedEx® or USPS® package to participating Target locations. Target will accept your package and store it in a secure area until you arrive to pick it up. You must present a photo ID that matches the name to which the package is addressed.

To redirect and pick up a package with FedEx:

  2. Select Hold at Location and select a nearby, participating Target location.
  3. FedEx will notify you when your package arrives.

Redirected packages will be held for seven days at Target.

FedEx® packages not picked up within seven days will be returned to FedEx and tracking information will be updated to show that your package is no longer being held for pickup. If your package has been returned, call 1-800-GoFedEx (1-800-463-3339) for additional assistance.

For USPS® packages, if your name and phone number are included on the exterior of the package, Target will attempt to contact you. If contact information isn’t visible, USPS and Target will jointly determine a solution for the removal of a package. This may include discarding or donating the package.

Target will accept your FedEx® packages requiring a signature, but you’ll be required to sign for the package when you pick it up and present a photo ID that matches the name to which is the package is addressed. 

At this time there is not a solution to sign for USPS® packages in store. If a USPS package requiring an adult signature is sent to Target, it will be returned to sender.

For all lost and damaged package claims, contact the shipping carrier. Target is a holding location for packages and is not providing the actual shipping service.

In general, package liability by a carrier will be limited to the lessor of the value of the contents of the package or $100. Target does not offer any additional insurance or declared value at the time of shipment to increase this coverage. It is not recommended to ship or receive items worth more than $100 in this program.
